Dublin-based recruitment and talent solutions provider Osborne has officially launched in the United Kingdom with the opening of its first UK office in Manchester, as reported by Invest Manchester.

The Manchester office, Osborne's 13th operation, is located in the heart of Northwest England and will serve as a strategic hub for UK operations, supporting organisations and job seekers across the region. The company plans to create 10 new jobs in 2026, with further growth anticipated as its UK presence develops.

The expansion follows an Enterprise Ireland-led trade mission to Manchester, during which Osborne officially opened the office at a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Minister Niamh Smyth TD, Jenny Melia, CEO of Enterprise Ireland, Cillian O'Kelly, consul general of Ireland to Manchester, and Councillor Bev Craig, leader of Manchester City Council.

According to Enterprise Ireland's latest UK Market Sentiment Survey, the North of England now accounts for 20% of Irish companies' UK footprint, making it the second-largest UK region for Irish business activity after London.

Group CEO and owner Shóna McManus said: "Our expansion into the UK is an incredibly exciting milestone for Osborne. Establishing our first UK office in Manchester places us at the centre of a thriving business community and signals our long-term commitment to the UK market. We have built a strong, values-driven business in Ireland, centred around recruitment excellence and delivery for both clients and candidates and we are excited to bring that same approach to the UK. We look forward to building lasting partnerships across the region."

Osborne has appointed Ben Toynton as recruitment and business manager in Manchester to lead its regional operations. Toynton brings experience across talent acquisition, business development, and relationship management.

Toynton said: "I am incredibly excited to lead Osborne's expansion into the UK and to establish our presence in Manchester, one of the UK's most dynamic and opportunity-rich business regions. Osborne has built an outstanding reputation for recruitment excellence, and I look forward to bringing our people-first approach to businesses and candidates across the region while building strong, long-term partnerships that support growth and success."

The Manchester opening reflects a broader pattern of Irish professional services firms entering the UK market through the North of England, drawn by its economic growth trajectory, lower operating costs relative to London, and established connectivity with Ireland.
