New York-based IT infrastructure services provider Kyndryl has launched AI Orchestration for Business, a new capability built on its Agentic AI Framework designed to move enterprises beyond isolated AI pilots toward coordinated, enterprise-wide AI operations, according to the company.

The capability autonomously interacts with AI agents across supply chains, commerce, finance, IT, and customer operations, enabling cross-functional alignment and controlled execution at scale with governed, policy-driven agent functionality.

Rachel Calhoun, vice president and global retail, CPG, and travel and transportation leader at Kyndryl, said: "Enterprises are moving fast to embrace AI, but most are stuck in isolated pilots that don't change or improve their daily operations. Kyndryl AI Orchestration for Business helps companies bring order and clarity to AI complexity, coordinating how AI agents act across business functions, with clear guardrails and human oversight. That means fewer disruptions, faster decisions and the ability to protect and grow revenue and customer loyalty as AI becomes part of how the business runs."

The capability combines data, events, and AI agents from across the enterprise to support role-based decision making and real-time action. Rather than reacting to issues after they occur, teams receive proactive alerts, recommended actions, and embedded agentic workflows that allow them to intervene or approve automated actions before disruptions affect customers or revenue.

Key workflow capabilities include agentic commerce, which connects supply chain, pricing, promotions, and customer engagement to anticipate demand shifts and manage disruptions; proactive supply chain disruption management, which identifies supply risks and financial exposure in real time; and policy-driven execution, which embeds operational, regulatory, and business rules directly into agent workflows at the reasoning level using policy as code, with full transparency into how decisions are made.

Kyndryl Consult experts will help customers design, deliver, and deploy the capability, with the tool described as cloud and large language model-agnostic. It integrates with existing enterprise platforms and can operate with or without managed services tools, giving organisations flexibility to modernise at their own pace.

The launch positions Kyndryl as an orchestration partner for industries where AI agent proliferation risks creating operational fragmentation rather than efficiency gains. The ability to govern agent behaviour through embedded policy controls addresses a growing concern among senior decision-makers about accountability and auditability in automated enterprise workflows.
