Department of Agriculture Food & the Marine wins Excellence in the use of Data & Analytics in Operations at Operational Excellence Awards 2026

The Department of Agriculture Food & the Marine secured the Excellence in the use of Data & Analytics in Operations Award at the Operational Excellence Awards 2026, distinguished for its Area Monitoring System that delivers large-scale, data-driven operational transformation across the agricultural sector.

The organisation deployed an integrated system combining satellite data, machine learning, advanced analytics, and real-time dashboards to establish unprecedented transparency and operational efficiency across agricultural compliance and monitoring.
