Ekco, an Ireland-based managed security services provider, has acquired Datalogix to strengthen its operational technology (OT) capabilities across the UK, Ireland and the US according to a Channel Web report.
Launched in 2005, Datalogix provides secure OT infrastructure design, implementation and support services for companies in the life sciences, pharmaceutical, general manufacturing and critical national infrastructure (CNI) sectors. It has operations spanning Ireland, the UK and the US.
Following completion of the deal, the firm will become part of Ekco's security division, bringing the unit's revenues to a €100 million share of Ekco's overall group top line of €200 million. The managed security services provider stated the move will enhance its ability to address the convergence of IT and OT environments as customers face an expanding OT threat landscape alongside increasing regulatory requirements.
Datalogix's team will join Ekco's workforce of more than 1,000 people globally across Ireland, the UK, the Netherlands, Malaysia and South Africa. Managing Director Der Cremen and Chief Technology Officer Damian White will also transition to Ekco as part of the transaction.
Steve MacNicholas, CEO of Ekco Ireland, stated the company has always admired Datalogix's highly specialised capabilities. "Having known Datalogix well for many years, we have always admired their highly specialised and client focused capabilities as trusted OT advisors in the life sciences, pharmaceutical and CNI markets. Ekco's world class expertise in security-first managed services and cutting-edge technology, this partnership is a perfect match and we are looking forward to growing and learning together," he said.
This marks Ekco's eighth acquisition over the past three years, having previously bought out Irish managed service provider Adapt IT in 2025.
