CV Villas has announced its expansion into Ireland, securing Total Payment Protection Policy approval from the Irish Aviation Authority for its flight and car-inclusive villa packages; this is a market-entry launch rather than a transaction, so no consideration applies. It matters because it shows a UK operator building the regulatory infrastructure Irish trade partners require before committing to sell a brand, rather than launching on brand strength alone.

CV Villas is a UK-based premium villa holiday specialist with more than 50 years of experience and a portfolio of 900 properties across Spain, Portugal, Greece, Barbados and the wider Mediterranean, operating as part of the DER Touristik-owned Kuoni UK group.

CV Villas' business development team began engaging the Irish market in June 2025, culminating in IAA approval of its TOPP policy for all villa-and-flight and villa-and-car packages, a compliance step required under Ireland's Package Holidays and Travel Trade Act before agents can sell bonded packages.

Flight-inclusive packages are now bookable from Dublin, Shannon and Cork using Aer Lingus and Ryanair, giving the operator direct routing options from all three of Ireland's main international airports rather than relying on connections through the UK.

To support the launch, CV Villas has secured commercial agreements with two of Ireland's largest travel trade consortia, Travel Centres, which supports 70 agencies nationally, and Worldchoice Ireland, a group of 60 independently owned retail agents, alongside Travel Counsellors and Cork-based corporate travel manager Frosch Ireland.

The distribution network gives CV Villas immediate reach into more than 200 Irish agency outlets without building a direct retail presence, transferring the customer acquisition function to trade partners already trusted by Irish holidaymakers.

For the sector, the sequencing here, regulatory approval secured before the trade partnerships were finalised, signals that financial protection compliance is increasingly the gating factor for market entry, ahead of product range or brand recognition in a new territory.
