Co Tyrone-based garment manufacturer Cooneen has launched a strategic partnership with global supply chain specialist Slimstock to boost operational efficiency, enhance forecasting, and support sustainable growth according to a Belfast News Letter report.
Cooneen, a 50-year-old provider of mission-critical uniforms for Blue Light Services and public transport operators, faces rising operational complexity as demand for its specialist products continues to increase.
To meet these challenges, Cooneen will implement Slimstock’s Slim4 supply chain planning platform, replacing legacy systems and spreadsheet-based processes with a dynamic, automated approach. The new platform is expected to improve forecast accuracy, automate procurement processes, and allow the business to navigate operational constraints more effectively.
Aaron Quinn, IT and Business Transformation Director at Cooneen, explained that enhancing visibility and control across the end-to-end supply chain is critical for driving efficiency and delivering lasting value to customers. He added that Slimstock’s flexible solution and advanced forecasting capabilities are pivotal for unifying planning across the business and future-proofing operations while maintaining high service standards.
The supply chain transformation will enable Cooneen to strengthen operational resilience, streamline processes, and support continued growth across its specialist uniform operations. By leveraging Slimstock’s award-winning forecasting technology, the company aims to accelerate growth while sustaining exceptional service for its clients.
This initiative demonstrates the increasing role of integrated, automated supply chain solutions in achieving operational excellence. It also highlights the strategic value of partnerships with global technology providers to navigate complexity, optimise efficiency, and scale effectively in response to market demands.
