Bevcraft has announced plans to expand its Mullingar Business Park operations, submitting a planning application for a new warehouse and process hall covering approximately 1,895 sq m, with a decision due from Westmeath County Council on 18 October. It matters because it adds physical processing and warehousing capacity at the group's home site just as it continues expanding internationally, rather than shifting new capacity abroad.

Bevcraft is a Mullingar-based craft beverage packaging specialist founded in 2016 by Darren Fenton and Ciarán Gorman, providing mobile canning, can decoration, wholesale packaging and co-packing services to craft and artisan beverage producers.

The proposed expansion includes a new road entrance, two dock levellers along the northern elevation, a new concrete yard and additional staff and visitor parking, alongside extra office and welfare facilities.

The application follows Bevcraft's January 2026 launch of a Beverage Innovation Facility at its Forest Park site in Mullingar, a product development and production facility for brand owners and beverage manufacturers that co-founder Darren Fenton said had sustained 20 jobs locally.

Bevcraft now employs 60 people across its Mullingar sites and wider group, which has grown into a European leader in craft can packaging with close to 40 employees across eight European locations, serving more than 500 craft beverage clients across 20 countries.

The Mullingar expansion also follows Bevcraft's 2024 move into North America through the formation of Groupe Bevcraft Canada via its acquisition of Solucan, extending a pattern of adding processing capacity in step with new market entries rather than after demand has already built up.

For the sector, expanding warehouse and process capacity at an established Irish base while simultaneously entering new international markets signals that scaling operators increasingly treat domestic infrastructure investment and geographic expansion as parallel priorities, not sequential ones.
