ZF has reorganised its commercial vehicle aftermarket business in the UK and Ireland, centralising its complete range of parts, technologies, and service solutions under a single leadership structure led by David Wakeling. The restructure is designed to improve operational efficiency, reduce complexity, and deliver measurable value to commercial partners.
The consolidation integrates ZF’s [pro]Service and [pro]Academy programmes, standardising training, support, and service protocols for fleet operators and independent workshops. By unifying internal functions—including IAM, service parts, and fleet operations—ZF is creating a single, customer-focused team that can respond more quickly and consistently to commercial partner requirements.
Wim Deckx, Managing Director of ZF Aftermarket UK and Ireland, explained that the commercial vehicle sector demands reliability, speed, and technical expertise. The new structure strengthens ZF’s capacity to meet these demands while embedding operational excellence across all aftermarket operations. Fleet and workshop partners now benefit from simplified access to the full ZF portfolio, improved communication channels, and enhanced service delivery metrics.
This realignment also supports ZF’s strategic objectives by improving internal collaboration, reducing operational friction, and providing a platform for scalable growth across its commercial vehicle aftermarket business. By consolidating responsibilities and centralising decision-making, ZF aims to deliver faster support, better resource allocation, and increased uptime for fleet clients.
The restructure demonstrates how operational excellence can be achieved through strategic unification of service delivery teams, training programmes, and technical support functions in a highly technical B2B environment.
