Japanese automotive manufacturer Suzuki Philippines has inaugurated a Business Operations Simulation Facility at Don Bosco College Canlubang to strengthen workforce readiness and operational training in the automotive sector. The initiative supports dealership capability development through practical exposure to sales, aftersales operations and customer service management within a controlled learning environment.

CarGuide.ph reported that the facility was officially launched in April during a ceremony attended by Suzuki Philippines president Koichiro Hirao and Fr. Jeffrey Mangubat, SDB. The programme forms part of a collaboration between the automotive company and the academic institution to align technical education with operational requirements across the automotive retail industry.

The training centre has been designed to simulate real-world dealership operations, integrating customer engagement, service consultation, diagnostics, repair procedures, parts handling and post-service support. Students will participate in scenario-based learning modules intended to replicate workplace processes and improve operational familiarity before entering the workforce.

Don Bosco College Canlubang is recognised for its Salesian educational framework and Technical Vocational Education and Training programmes, including automotive-focused courses centred on applied technical skills and industry-relevant competencies.

Suzuki Philippines said the facility is intended to bridge classroom instruction with hands-on operational experience, helping students develop technical proficiency, problem-solving capability and customer-centric service skills. The project also reflects wider automotive sector efforts to strengthen workforce pipelines as dealerships continue adopting more integrated operational and customer management systems.

The partnership expands industry-academic collaboration in the Philippines as automotive companies invest in operational training models that support long-term workforce development and service quality improvement.
