Digital Realty, a global provider of cloud and carrier-neutral data centre, colocation, and interconnection solutions, has opened a new Global Command Center (GCC) in Singapore, reinforcing operational excellence across its worldwide platform of more than 300 data centres.
“Our customers rely on us to keep their critical operations running securely and seamlessly, wherever they are in the world. The Global Command Center provides 24/7, real-time oversight of mission-critical infrastructure, with the aim of identifying and responding to potential issues promptly to minimise impact,” said Thomas Gorman, senior vice president, global operations. “This enhances service reliability and enables our customers to respond faster, operate smarter, and optimise for next-generation AI workloads.”
The GCC integrates with existing centres in North, Central, and South America, Europe, and Africa to centralise alarm monitoring, incident management, site support, and customer experience optimisation.
The centre uses AI-driven predictive analytics, anomaly detection, and high-performance tools to reduce operational risks and ensure continuous performance. It also tracks sustainability and energy optimisation, coordinates critical resource mobilisation, and monitors 24/7 network connectivity.
“Establishing our GCC in Singapore, a critical digital hub, reinforces our commitment to global operational excellence. This move also signifies Digital Realty’s long-term investment in Singapore and the Asia Pacific region, driven by rising demand for high-performance connectivity and AI-ready digital infrastructure,” said Serene Nah, managing director and head of Asia Pacific.
To support the GCC, Digital Realty has expanded its Singapore team, bringing in technical and operational experts across engineering, operations, service delivery, and security.
